Our next adoption event is August 2nd in Columbus at Country Mart. We will be bringing several of our dogs, lots of great rats both adult and baby. Our crafts will be available for purchase as welll. We are in dire need of supplies so any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. Our biggest need right now in addition to food of course are blankets. We have a mother dog and 4 little puppies who are going through clean blankets like mad.&...Read Full Post »

Well the start of the year was rough. But Mimi & Ralphie have both been adopted by very loving homes!
Im so very happy for both of my babies and their new families. I need to send a big thank you out to the lovely ladies at K9 Campers in Seymour Indiana for giving both of my kids some great fun filled days while they were "seventh kids". They loved being in daycamp and it opened up a wonderful world of meeti...Read Full Post »

Well it never stops. Always more babies born into a world with no homes to go to. We have another rattery closing. A hobby breeder closing and owner surrenders. Lots of boys and girls in need of love and affection.

It is with great joy I can write that all of our October babies are spoken for and/or adopted. We have one run left to do and that is to the northeast. It has been a great experience all in all. Although there was some heartache with it. With the last breeder/hoarder intake we took in some very malnourished ratties. Some of who we lost due to the longterm neglect they had endured. They will not be forgotten by those of us who struggled to save them. They were unique and beautiful littl...Read Full Post »

Wow! It has been crazy here with all of the new babies in house. They are all a handful but my gosh they are fun. We have recently aquired 3 used Critter Nations (!!!) and we are thrilled! But unfortunately they do not have pans. So we are asking for donations to buy 3 Bass base pans for them. It will be a huge benefit for us and all 3 pans with shipping will be under $100.00. The Rattie Train is coming together. I am really excited. We have rats slated westbound for Illinois, Color...Read Full Post »

Hi all! We have lots of new rats getting ready for their pics. Quarantine went well - no sniffles etc. We will have Dumbos, rexes and both boys and girls. Also we are in dire need of foster homes - another rattery closing and ratties need homes to go to. So if anyone is interested please email us if you are a previous adopter or use the contact page if you are new.

We have babies. Our latest rescue litter is ready to go and we have adopted out 2 today with another 3 being picked up later this week - and we don't even have pics up yet lol! We have one little girl who is not spoken for and 4 little boys. So very cute! Pics should be up tomorrow.

We have a few more cages to use in our starter sets! Yay! This time we will not be able to do a complete package though. We can offer a pre-matched pair (to make sure they get along good), the cage and a water bottle. But due to it being a smaller starter set the cost is only $15.00. Of course the application process still applies. Thanks to all who have adopted for making it such a great success.

Due to many smaller cage donations we are considering offering a starter kit with certain ratties. It would be a cage (used but serviceable), a water bottle and a small bag of food to get you started. We think it would be a nice way to get the ratties into homes that perhaps may not have $100 to plunk down on a cage right away - but who would upgrade their rattie at a later date. As we love our adopters - we value your opinions. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Due to recent events we are now having to ask for a gas money donation for certain delivery spots. It has been brought about by people sending in adoption applications and arranging a time, confirming the time and then not showing up for the receipt of their chosen rattie. It is indeed their loss because the ratties are not removed from our site until the rat is in it's new home - so the ratties are still up for adoption. But it is a breach of trust than insures we cannot adopt to someone ...Read Full Post »

What a great April this is turning out to be! We have wonderful babies in wonderful new homes, we have new foster families to socialize and teach our little ones that we aren't all bad and we have made some great new friends. If you get a chance - take a minute and check out the new link to Heaven's Door Acres. They are like us - no 501c - all vet bills, feed and everything else is full price but they are doing fabulous work. I am going over to visit with them this week. I can't wait to ...Read Full Post »

Well as you all can see we have a new website. It is wonderful for so many of you to have kept in touch with us over the years. Often this is a thankless task - but the rats are what it is all about. Wonderul little souls that we humans bring into this world and are responsible for. And thankfully many of my little souls have found their way into your homes and hearts.
Another great bit of news - a new rat rescue in Indy. Check them out on our resources page. They are just gettin...Read Full Post »
